Privacy Policy
What information Runners Commons collects, and how it is handled.
1. Who operates this site
Runners Commons (“this site”) is operated by the Runners Commons team. For questions about how information is handled, contact info@runnerscommons.app.
The operator’s name and address will be disclosed without delay on request.
2. Accounts are not offered yet
This site does not currently offer sign-in. There is no way for you to register a name, an email address or a personal best, and none of that information is collected.
Before account features are enabled, this policy will be updated to describe what is collected and why, and the change will be published in advance.
3. What is collected
- Access logs: the URL visited, IP address, browser type (user agent), referrer and timestamp. These are recorded automatically in order to serve the site.
- Browser storage: the gear you added to the comparison list, whether you dismissed the language notice, and your light/dark preference. These stay in your browser and are not sent to our servers.

4. Analytics
This site uses Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand which pages are being read.
It sets no cookies and collects nothing that identifies you personally. No identifier is issued to follow you around, and nothing is linked to your activity on other sites.
- The URL of the page viewed
- The referrer — where you arrived from
- Country or region, device type and browser type
- Page performance metrics
No advertising-related analytics is installed. If one is added, this policy will be updated first.
5. Why it is used
- To display and deliver the site
- To detect and respond to abuse or outages
- To understand which pages are used, in order to improve them
6. Disclosure to third parties
Information collected is not disclosed to third parties, except where required by law.
7. Processors and transfers outside Japan
This site runs on servers and network infrastructure operated by Cloudflare, Inc. (United States). Access logging and delivery take place through their systems. Because their network is distributed worldwide, information relating to your visit may be processed on servers outside Japan.

8. Cookies
This site sets no cookies for advertising or behavioural tracking. The preferences listed in section 3 are stored in your browser’s local storage and can be cleared from your browser settings.
9. Affiliate programmes
This site takes part in affiliate programmes and may carry purchase links. Once you follow a link to an external site, information is handled according to that site’s own policy.
Pages containing affiliate links say so on the page.
10. Links to other sites
This site links out extensively to official race and venue websites. We are not responsible for how those sites handle information.
11. Access, correction and suspension of use
To request disclosure, correction or suspension of use of retained personal data, contact info@runnerscommons.app. Requests are handled in accordance with applicable law once identity has been confirmed.
12. Changes to this policy
This policy may be revised as the law or the service changes. Significant changes will be announced on this site.
